Glee (season 3) edits and copyright violation[edit]

Recently, you have made edits to add a quoted episode summary for "On My Way" to the Glee (season 3) article, and also to that episode's article. While we're always eager to have new editors contributing to Wikipedia, there are rules about contributions, and your edits have violated some of them.

One of them is a very serious one: copyright violation. Although you have put quote marks around your summary, you have not given a reference or citation indicating where it comes from, which is against the Wikipedia copyright policy. Taking the entire summary, even by quoting it, is also a violation; we do cite the source, but we summarize the information there while being sure to avoid plagiarism. However, even if you had done so, this particular summary comes from a fan site, mjsbigblog (it's the original source from which all the other fan sites copy their information), which is not a reliable source by Wikipedia standards, and indeed has had egregious errors in its summaries and other information in the past. Reliable sources include Fox itself and the professional media such as Entertainment Weekly, E! Online, TV Guide, and so on. Above all, your information needs to be verifiable: there needs to be a reference citation so that a reader can go to the original source and verify it.

I hope you will see this and realize that we are not being arbitrary in reversing your edits, but that there are real reasons why they have been. As you can see from the policy links above, copyright violation is taken extremely seriously on Wikipedia, and can result in editing privileges being revoked. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on my talk page, or on the talk page of any article where you have been editing. BlueMoonset (talk) 13:42, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Glee (season 3) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:31, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Jamie Curry[edit]

Hello Noseyparker2341,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jamie Curry for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Sosthenes12 (talk) 00:37, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Noseyparker2341,

I've removed the deletion tag to give you more time to establish notability.
