Ray Lucia Sr. is no longer an SEC Registered Investment Advisor due to his settlement with the SEC. http://www.adviserinfo.sec.gov/IAPD/Content/ViewIndvl/IAPD_IndvlSummary.aspx?Indvl_PK=?1073284

Additionally, he has 12 Customer Disputes, 10 of which have occurred from 2012 to the present, and the majority involving Real Estate Securities. Since Lucia has recommending untraded REITs on his show, there should be a way to detail the downside to this strategy.
