Welcome!

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  ttonyb (talk) 04:49, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Huel perkins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 04:49, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image uploads: FINAL WARNING[edit]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. Uploading a copyrighted logo and claiming it to be freely usable under Creative Commons will not be tolerated. The next time you do so, you will be blocked from editing. --Sable232 (talk) 14:37, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Creating Copyright Violations. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. FASTILY (TALK) 05:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Nick Chirco (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Sorry didn't see warning message, didn't realize I was violating any copyrights. By the way I see images uploaded all over Wikipedia copied directly off of places such as Google Images, yet I don't see you people doing anything to those images, whats so different about mine than theirs?

Decline reason:

You were warned, and chose to ignore it. At this point, if you were to be unblocked, you would first have to pledge to never upload another image again. It is clear from your behavior you lack the capacity to understand Wikipedia's image policy; or you are simply willfully ignoring it. Either way, if you are to be unblocked you would have to refrain from dealing with images in any way, any more. Jayron32 06:17, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You just don't get it, do you? Uploading corporate logos under a free license creates copyright violations and is absolutely not allowed. You obviously knew that full well but decided to disruptively edit anyways. -FASTILY (TALK) 05:25, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{|tlx|unblock|Agreed, Ill stay away from uploading copyright protected images.}}

The terms weren't 'copyright images', they were 'images period'.— dαlus Contribs 04:18, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|I meant no logos or other images I myself didn't create.}}

Again, you miss it. It is images period. All images of every type, created by you, or not.— dαlus Contribs 04:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|I will follow this rule, but I have noticed images across wikipedia copied off of the internet, yet they never seem to be taken care of by you guys. Why do my images get deleted while those get to stay on there???}} {{unblock|My brother has been hacking into my Wikipedia profile for the past few months uploading images and other sorts using my account name, since his account has been banned from wikipedia. Sorry for the hassles he may have caused you! I have never uploaded an image myself on here, just making typed edits on some pages. Please review this and remove all blocks please! -Nick Chirco}} Note, the above was actually a 'helpme' and I changed it to an unblock request; it was written by Nick Chirco 04:36, 27 August 2010 Chzz  ►  04:39, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock requests need to address your behavior, not those of others. Secondly, the WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is never an argument to do the same thing. If such images do exist, then report them. Do not replicate the behavior. Doing such a thing only compounds the problem. As has been said by many people throughout history, two wrongs don't make a right.
That aside, with the above post, you just ensured your indef block as your account is compromised. Blaming your brother was the worst thing you could do to help the community trust you again, and you did it. Nice job blowing any such trust they might have had with you out of the water. So I suggest you take that back, admit it was you, and agree to never upload any images again.— dαlus Contribs 04:42, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|I agree to anything you request me not to do. I admit, I will no longer add any image to wikipedia again, as long as I can still edit pages on wikipedia.}}

I will agree to unblocking you provided you agree to a ban from uploading or re-uploading anything onto the English Wikipedia. It is clear that you do not understand how images, fair use, and free use work here, and you will likely not in the future to trust you to ever upload any images here. Any upload of an image from you will result in an immediate block of you from editing Wikipedia for an indefinite length of time. –MuZemike 05:00, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I agree to your circumstances, please allow me though to upload images in the future as long as I use proper copyright. Thank You for agreeing to unblock me!

Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information.See below. –MuZemike 05:18, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{helpme} Sock Puppet Accounts, please help me, one account, a sock puppet is an account I forgot I created long ago but never use, the other is not mine, please help me in ridding my account of these two sock puppets. I'm not saying this page is a sock puppet, but the other ChircoN is one I created long ago but hardly used and the other is chircotheman, which is an account that was NOT created by me!!! Please Help!!!- Nick Chirco

You have not agreed to the conditions placed above, so I will not unblock this account. Furthermore, due to your abuse of the unblocking procedure and commitment to sock puppetry, I am revoking your ability to edit this talk page. You may email unblock-en-l@lists.wikimedia.org to further appeal your block, but this venue will remain closed due to your abuse it. Regards, –MuZemike 05:18, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I agree to never upload any images, I understand my wrong-doing, and I agree to stop vandalising pages on Wikipedia. I would like to make my account clean of being blocked and practically start over with the hope of never being blocked again. Sorry for any inconveniences I may have caused you. Procedural, subsequent requests have already been discussed and declined above. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:45, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Home-over.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
