Re: Ground Zero[edit]

While you raise a fine point and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention, I am afraid the article would be very likely to see deletion if re-instated, under a different criteria: Notability (A7). There is no indication in the article that I can see that the band meets the notability/inclusion criteria in WP:BAND as it was written. - Vianello (Talk) 00:35, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok - Notability - that’s a different issue. And while it might be border line to include the American band Ground Zero. There are reasons to suggest that it is worthy of inclusion.

1. Ground Zero was the first album to be produced by Michael Salvatori. And the success of the album was partially responsible for getting him noticed by Martin O'Donnell.

2. Ground Zero was a hit in Japan. According to Mr. Luchs (A&R representative of the now defunct Retreat Records of Chicago, IL which released the Ground Zero Album) and Mr. Yamashita (executive of Fujisankei who distributed the record in Japan): the Ground Zero album Tokyo Express briefly hit #76 on the Japanese Rock charts in Autumn 1980.

So?

Those are completely legitimate reasons. Do you have a copy of the previous version of the article so it can be re-upped to add this information? Just telling me about these things is fine and all, but they're facts that need to be included the article itself and properly sourced. Tell you what, in case you don't, I'll "userfy" a copy of the old article to you. It'll be at User:Neatguy/Groundzero. You can rewrite it to include this info and then just re-create the article. I hope that works okay for ya? Once you're done and the article is re-created, just put a {{G7}} template on the draft page to have it deleted and cleared out. - Vianello (Talk) 00:15, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage is in a category[edit]

Your userpage User:Neatguy/Groundzero has a category, and so appears in Category:1970s music groups.
As the guideline on userpages describes, this is undesired. It is suggested that you edit the userpage to prevent this showing. It can be done by adding a colon (:) before the word Category, like this: [[:Category:1970s music groups]]. More categories involved. -DePiep (talk) 00:58, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ground Zero Album cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ground Zero Album cover.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:00, 21 April 2011 (UTC) So as far as the Hormiguero picture goes - I took the picture, own the copyright, loaded it to wiki, haven't published it anywhere else and gave you permission to use it - and stated that in straightforward language. Or at least I thought that was what I did. So what exactly are you looking for in terms of proof? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neatguy (talkcontribs) 01:50, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Moved this comment down:)

So help me here - I took the picture, own the copyright, uploaded it, gave wiki permission to use it, haven't published it anywhere else. I've tried to say that in a straightforward manner. I'm telling you that's what happened - and that iw what ai tried to write - I struggle to find the wiki language ((TB:Magog the Ogre|talk)) (Neatguy (talk) 01:59, 26 January 2012 (UTC))[reply]
Hi! The problem is that you gave http://www.jaguarstones.com as the source. When files come from websites we need a permission from the website that they agree on the license. If it is your own website a mail from that domain (xxx@jaguarstones.com) to the email adress mentioned abowe should do the trick.
If you are not related to that website but linked to it to because they write about the same area or whatever the reason may be then we need to clarify what happend.
Perhaps it would be easier if we change the "No permission" template to a "Possibly unfree" because then there will be a page where the image can be discussed and more users can help you. It looks like you added similar links to other uploads you made so we should also discuss the other uploads. --MGA73 (talk) 09:53, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The plan is that you can tell what happend at Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2012_January_29#File:Hormiguero_2010.JPG --MGA73 (talk) 10:14, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
