A tag has been placed on Silent Life, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Silent Life[edit]

Hello. On my talk page you provided "more evidence" that Hollywood Forever Cemetery is "world famous". That's all interesting, however, it does not change the fact that I had never heard of it (which was my only claim) and more importantly still does not help establish Silent Life as a notable film. There still needs to be significant coverage from at least two independent reliable sources in order to establish notability. It does not matter how many notable subjects are associated with the film if the previous criteria are not met. That's the definition of "notability" on Wikipedia and that's the requirement for getting an article into Wikipedia. I'm guessing that once the film is released and reviews start rolling in from notable and reliable places that the notability requirements will be met and the article can be moved again to the main space. Moving Silent Life to the main space[edit]

Hello, I looked at the reference you added and there's still a problem. At the Wikipedia General Notability Guideline, the very first criterion listed is "Significant coveragemeans that sources address the subject directly in detail, so no original research is needed to extract the content. Significant coverage is more than a trivial mention but it need not be the main topic of the source material." The mention at the Financial Times is one sentence long and does not address the subject in detail. It is a passing mention in an article about a different film. Other editors might disagree with this assessment, but personally I do not see how the notability requirements have been met with this source. No one doubts that the film exists (which is all the Financial Times sources demonstrates) but whether it is notable yet. SQGibbon (talk) 19:27, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New sources for Silent Life[edit]

Hello. By some odd timing I saw and responded to your edits before I saw the message you left for me. I noted in my edit summary my thoughts on the sources but I'll say it here as well. Wikinews, just like all of Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source for use within Wikipedia articles. We only gather what other reliable sources say, we do not create notability or our own research. I also removed the Kinoved.com reference as it's only a mention of the film. I left in the Telesite.ru which at least gives more detail but I have no idea if that site is considered a reliable source by Wikipedia standards. I also doubt that it really adds that much to any notability claims for the film as it's really just repeating what's in the press release. What we want is for a reliable source to provide his or her own commentary on the film and not just repeating the facts of the film that are easily derived from the press release. Or even an interview with the filmmaker done by a reliable source. Basically we need something that's more than just a mention that the film exists.
