License tagging for Image:000047.jpg== Thanks for uploading Image:000047.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:04, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Removal of cleanup resources[edit]

Seeing as the article The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon did, in my views, need a cleanup, I wish to hear your views on why the template isn't needed, or, by Wikipedia policies, why you didn't leave a comment under my rationale on the talk page. Please discuss this issue. --Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 05:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-adding voice actors and writers to the list of 4Kids leaders; unless they run the company, they should not be included.

Regarding your addition "{{Note: Please do not remove this information, signed, Wikipedia Staff.}}" I would be interested in learning what your position with Wikipedia is, as I am an administrator. tregoweth 00:52, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem; just don't do silly stuff like that again. :) Also, if you want to leave a message to people, it's best to use their talk page (User talk:Tregoweth, for example) instead of their user page (User:Tregoweth). If you have any questions or there's anything I can help you with, just let me know. tregoweth 01:37, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:268950904.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:268950904.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell 14:43, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:000047.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:000047.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell 14:46, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Maddie_blaustein.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Maddie_blaustein.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:268950904.jpg)[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:268950904.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. FYI, My corrections to Pete's credits are correct - I work with Pete at 4Kids, so I can vouch for their authenticity. Pete was never Tunnel Rat on G.I. Joe, and he did indeed voice the characters Drew, Zigzagoon and Medicham on Pokemon. Any sites that claim otherwise are wrong.

Sonic X: Fourth season announcement?[edit]

People keep reinserting that there has been a fourth season announced. That is not completely true, but it most likely going to happen at this point. Can you link me to a website where it says that a new season will air? Thanks :) -- RattleMan 00:53, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply :) I heard that some people think those announcements are for Episodes 53-78, which I believe still haven't aired in Japan yet. Some others think it's for both 53-78 airing and 79+. I hope it's both! -- RattleMan 01:28, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Alternatives4.kl.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alternatives4.kl.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:48, 11 February 2007 (UTC). Replaceable fair use Image:Emilywilllamsphoto.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Emilywilllamsphoto.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. hbdragon88 02:10, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:942736 20070822 screen005.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:942736 20070822 screen005.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:11, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Zeroposter0001.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Zeroposter0001.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Speedy deletion of Template:CedarBRT[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:CedarBRT requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Nice work on the article Global Peace Festival (USA)[edit]

I remember tagging this article for removal since it contained only an article to an external site, and i have to say i am quite pleasantly surprised with the changes made now i have another check on it! Well deserves praise apart, i wanted to give you two pointers on creating artices:

  • Don't remove speedy deletion templates on articles you created, even if you edited it in a way that invalidates the template. An admin stopping by will simply decline those templates. If you are affraid that your article would be removed, simply add {{hangon}} under the tag that says {{db-}}, which will delay removal.
  • If you are creating an article, you might want to tag it with {{underconstruction}} at the top of the page. This signals people you are still working on it, which will prevent CSD's most of the time.

That was if for the technicalities i guess :). Thanks for contributing a fine article! and with kind regards, Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 09:08, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of Pokémon voice actors[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Pokémon voice actors, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

redundant to List of characters in the Pokémon anime series

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 21:48, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of List of Pokémon voice actors[edit]

I have nominated List of Pokémon voice actors, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Pokémon voice actors (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 22:41, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Er...[edit]

[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. Why? -sesuPRIME talk • contribs 22:56, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, information in the intro is inevitably duplicated within the article's infobox. To use video games as an example; the developer, release date(s), platforms, etc. would all be in the infobox and the intro. And I don't think linking to the "Series episodes" section is needed for the later seasons, and seasons 1-5 still need series links in the infobox. Cheers. -sesuPRIME talk • contribs 23:46, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bus station articles[edit]

I see you have been creating lots of articles on bus stations on the I-35W Bus Rapid Transitway. Considering how little information there is (and is likely to be) for these stations, would it not be better to have them all on one article? Quantpole (talk) 00:33, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Duart logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The Original Barnstar
I just have to give you this barnstar, because it is something that you truly deserve for all of your hard and continuous work on all of the Pokémon episode lists. You do a great job adding in episodes, removing cruft, vandalism, and unconfirmed titles, and sticking to all of Wikipedia's policies at the same time; something that happens very rarely in fandom articles. Thank you for all of your fantastic work on one of the most neglected aspects of the franchise here on Wikipedia; you really deserve it. Cut and past moves[edit]

First, do not make cut and past moves of pages. This is against Wikipedia's policies as it destroys the edit histories of the page. Second, the moves you made to the the Bakugan Battle Brawlers episode lists were completely inappropriate. Nomination of Robby Sharpe for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Robby Sharpe, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robby Sharpe until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Akerans (talk) 00:40, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just deleted this page following a complaint at OTRS that the contents did not relate to Eva Kaminsky. I followed your sources (IMDB is not a reliable source by the way) and the roles listed did not match those in the article. You also had an unsourced alias that was not at all obvious. For obvious reasons I have deleted the page. While there is no objection to recreation of an accurate article, I suggest that you take more care with creating BLPs and ensure that new articles have reliable sources and reflect the correct information. I am attempting to make these pages better. There is no reason to have it as (## Episodes Total) when (## episodes total) will suffice. The bolding and capitalization is entirely unneccessary. Replaceable fair use File:METRO Vehicle1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:METRO Vehicle1.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:11, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tracy Jack requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on Liza Jacqueline Kaplan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Orphaned non-free image File:METRO MinnesotaLogo.gif[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:METRO MinnesotaLogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. SounderBruce 06:32, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Blackhawk Park & Ride has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An article about a parking lot essentially amounts to a run of the mill issue. Since the only reference is broken, there is no way this article meets the general notability requirements.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Vanessa Yardley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:BLP with no valid sourcing (IMDb and TV.com as 'External links' do not count at all towards notability), this is is effectively a WP:BLPPROD-type situation, and so article should be deleted unless sourcing is added and notability is demonstrated.
