October 2023[edit]

Hello @Md. Sirajuddaula, you might have noticed that I have reverted your format of infobox at pages of state legislative assemblies. You might be wondering what went wrong. I am here to explain you. Although I have done it in the summary. Whenever we want to change a format which has been there since long (like in this case, that format is there in all pages for years), we need to discuss it with other editors. Your format is not ok for all the pages because generally party colours are enough and there are many cases where alliances have no color, there are parties that support the Government but are not an alliance partner. Or for opposition there are multiple parties which are not allied but sit in opposition. Indian politics is not bipolar but multipolar so this format won't be ok with every page. Rest before making further change, I would request you to discuss here. If you want to discuss this with a larger audience then you may take this to WikiProject Indian politics since it is related to it. ShaanSenguptaTalk 18:21, 5 November 2023 (UTC)nd[reply]

I liked that format because that format had been used in many foreign countries' national and regional legislatures. Yeah, pleases provide the link to discusses as I'm new here. Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 05:56, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Md. Sirajuddaula Just because you/me/we or anyone likes something, it can't be added. Its true that that format is used in foreign legislatures, but as I told you Indian Politics is multipolar and many Alliances don't have a colour or a formal name, so changes are very less that it can be used in all pages of Indian legislature. But since upon want to discuss it you can do it on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indian politics. There the people will put forward their view and please put the link of this discussion too over there. ShaanSenguptaTalk 11:01, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But NDA, INDIA, LDF, UDF, MVA, MGB etc has colors as used in Wikipedia. Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 12:21, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Md. Sirajuddaula I asked you to discuss but you don't seem interested in discussing and gaining consensus as per Wikipedia rules. You continue to add it despite asking not to. This is a collaborative project and not someone's property. You need to gain consensus from every other person interested. Now coming to your point that the said alliances have colour. True. But there is a BRS + AIMIM alliance in Telangana which has no colour. There is a BSP + SAD + GGP + INLD alliances which has no colour. There is a TDP + Janasena alliance that has no colour. How will you make it uniformed in every infobox. There are oarties which are not allied with anyone. That's why I said Indian politics is multipolar and this is the problem with this format. We need uniformity which if possible can be achieved only through discussion. Please don't make new changes without engaging in one. ShaanSenguptaTalk 12:08, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indian National Congress[edit]

Hello @Md. Sirajuddaula, Thank you for your valuable contributions to Wikipedia. I hope you are having a great time editing. Please be advised that before making any changes to an article, you need to reach a consensus. For example, regarding the Political position of INC, you can find the consensus here. As of now, your edits have been reverted. Kindly refrain from making any changes to the political position section before discussing it on the article's talk page. Good luck! 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 08:35, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

INC has higher vote share than NCP and MIM has more seats than Congress. So, both must be added. Sharad Pawer is NCP president. Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 11:21, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Moreover, you've arranged them wrongly. Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 11:22, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Opinion polls predict Congress may win 16 seats MIM 1 to 2 seats Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 11:23, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am reverting status-quo. Means the last version before the dispute arose. Wait until we finish this. Now I shall explain you point-wise.
  • Party president's are used when leader is not present. Here in case of NCP Supriya Sule is the leader of NCP in Lok Sabha. So she will be added and not Sharad Pawar. Also she is the current working President too.
  • AIMIM don't even have 1% vote share in last election and won just 1 out of 48. Not being considered a major player in opinion polls by reliable sources, hardly gets 1 seat in them. Hence it cant be added.
  • For Shiv Sena, whenever there is a debate in Lok Sabha on some bill, party leader gets to speak for max time. And Shrikant Shinde and Rahul Shewale get to speak for maximum time. So either of them are leader.
  • Please show me one opinion poll by a reliable source which says Congress may win 16 seats in Maharashtra as you have claimed.
  • As you said MIM has more seats than Congress so it should be added, Both had 1 seat, Congress MP died and by-election is due. So invalid.
  • You said INC has greater vote share than NCP it doesn't matter. Reliable sources predict NCP as major compare to INC.
Please explain all this before re-reverting the status quo. If you do so again, I shall report to admins to handle this. Also why are you changing Nitin Gadkari image. The image added by you is old, and the one added by me is new and of better resolution. ShaanSenguptaTalk 12:57, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But I think for now all parties which were added in Next Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election must be added. INC is the main opposition party in Maharashtra is missing from infobox. Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 07:01, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Weather we add MIM or not we must add INC and NCP lead by Ajit Pawar Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 07:05, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
INC won 1 seat but he died. It's not INC's fault Md. Sirajuddaula (talk) 07:12, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Legislative and Parliamentary elections are different. But I am still adding other parties because of the complexity of Maharashtra politics with factions. But for Leader, only Lok Sabha leader is added, not party leader. Donot replace that. ShaanSenguptaTalk 07:26, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
