User pages[edit]

An editor had every right to blank and write what they wish (within reason) on their own user page. You, on the other hand, should not be modifying anyone's user page, outside of reverting blatant vandalism.-- Ponyobons mots 20:58, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't look like vandalism to me to remove swear words from an encyclopedia's user page. I think you should at least delete those forum words. Mark Gasoline (talk) 21:02, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say it was vandalism; it's disruptive though. There is nothing prohibiting swear words on Wikipedia, as long as you are civil with others and not using them personally attack editors.-- Ponyobons mots 21:05, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing on that user page is outside realm of what is permitted on a WP:User page. —C.Fred (talk) 21:03, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to remove the swear words again and will talk to an administrator to see what he thinks. Mark Gasoline (talk) 21:05, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Both C.Fred and I are adminstrators, and we're both telling you that you cannot edit another editors user page this way.-- Ponyobons mots 21:06, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Mark Gasoline (talk) 21:37, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your addition of a date of birth to Jennifer Sky. The edit summary indicated that the source was IMDb, which is not a reliable source. Please see WP:IMDB. You might also want to look at WP:USERGENERATED, which mentions other websites that are similarly unreliable.

Please feel free to add a date of birth when it is cited to a reliable, published non-primary source. The source needs to be cited in the article, not just mentioned in an edit summary. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:36, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
