April 2009[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Specifically, I am concerned that other users may confuse you for the Earl of Essex, a real and notable person. This confusion breaches Wikipedia:U#Real_names.. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Dweller (talk) 15:23, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dweller,
Thanks for the advice, I'd be happy to change my username - yes I can see the potential confusion, though I didn't realise it when I first created the name. As such, I've submitted a request to change.
Many thanks, formally Duke Of Wessex (talk) 08:08, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Saturdays[edit]

You re-added the virgin media awards. Indeed they did win, but there is no doubt that they cheated. Furball3 (talk) 17:42, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They did? In what way? Do you have a reference for this that we could possibly add to the article? Controversy section maybe? Last Polar Bear (talk) 07:56, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to let you know that I posted a response to your HIV question on the science ref. desk. Dismas|(talk) 00:09, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - you're very dedicated asking your friend :) Last Polar Bear (talk) 09:46, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
