File permission problem with File:Tamarasheni_demolished.jpeg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Tamarasheni_demolished.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 12:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ruined school in Avnevi.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ruined school in Avnevi.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 21:28, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There was some note on the Memorial site, granting permission to use all the photos there under the condition that the source (Memorial) will be cited. I cannot find it anymore, but will try to do so. Kouber (talk) 08:26, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zoiper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There no indication of notability (or maybe even importance) in this article. PRODing to give the author time to establish notability. If notability is not established and the PROD is removed, I'll immediately start the process of taking this article to AfD. I only ask that the PROD not be removed if the person who removes it doesn't plan on establishing notability in the next 24 hours.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Non-free rationale for File:Zoiper logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Zoiper logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Blurred Lines 22:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Granting" notability[edit]

I really have no idea what you mean when you say "Granted notability." Maybe I'm missing something. What part of WP:N does the software satisfy? I have your talk page on my watchlist so feel free to respond here but I have to tell you, I see no indication of notability at this point. If you don't correct this or perhaps help me understand how the subject is notable, I will be starting an AfD tomorrow unless I find evidence of notability on my own via WP:BEFORE.

At any rate, I find it important to let you know that notability isn't "granted", as you stated. It's established through evidence - evidence that hasn't been provided in the article. WCS100 (talk) 02:40, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it's due to a an translation issue but the idea of someone "granting" notability really got to me. No one has the power to grant notability. Since you ignored the message in my PROD, I didn't waste anymore time and nominated the article for deletion. If you wish to discuss this article, please do so at the AfD. I've removed your talk page from my watchlist and won't be responding here unless specifically invited. WCS100 (talk) 02:56, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Zoiper for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Zoiper is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zoiper until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. WCS100 (talk) 02:52, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
