Welcome![edit]

Hello KoalaAussieBlue, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions to the recent by-elections. You recently edited 2022 Strathfield state by-election that was done in good faith, but was not in accordance with wikipedia policies and thus was reverted and I thought it may be helpful to explain why. There are two issues - a talk page is not a forum for discussing the topic - instead it is intended to be limited to discussing improvements to the article.

Wikipedia has fundamental policies called the five pillars, which include that articles should be based on reliable, published sources. One of the things that flows from this requirement is that articles must not contain original research - this means that you should not add unsourced material from your personal experience nor should you add your own opinion as to the reliability of the election process nor consequences that may flow from that.
