References[edit]

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help with the Penn High School article. The References section seems like it's a little messed up, and also if you could help adding tables where it looks like it would improve the article. Thanks! Kevinmon (talk) 20:43, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What's wrong with the references? MacMedtalkstalk 20:46, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The boxes are in different places, and some have numbers, and others just have links. Not really sure how it works... Kevinmon (talk) 21:37, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and fixed the references. You can look at WP:CITE for more info on references. For more feedback on the article, you can visit WP:FEED. Thanks, MacMedtalkstalk 21:13, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I would like to have permission to use the Rollback feature on Wikipedia. I have been a member for over 3 years, and it is getting repetitive to undo or change edits that are not constructive. Also, I have contributed to hundreds of articles. This will be a big help, and I will not use it to revert good faith edits. - Kevinmon (talk) 02:40, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I don't see much vandalism fighting, and no use of warnings for vandals. Why not spend some time at Special:RecentChanges for a couple weeks and be sure to warn the vandals after reverting their edits. Then come back here, or my talk page, and request again. upstateNYer 02:49, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton | Talk 13:40, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have "rollback rights", but what I use, Twinkle, is very similar. You can practice here: WP:NAS/R. « ₣M₣ » 02:43, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Cayman birds[edit]

You can find the article on the Web here. I noted that there is nothing about the flora and fauna on the Caymans (which is actually quite interesting), so if someone would like to do a bit of writing on this, this is a good and comprehensive source on birds to start with. Cartonnetwork[edit]

Why did you delete my edit? The world needs to know the truth! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.91.92.61 (talk) 15:02, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit did not have a reference. Also, even though others may agree with you, encyclopedia articles are not for opinions. You are welcome to add to the article, the changes in Cartoon Network over the years, and if there are sources that state that the quality of cartoons has decreased, you may add that information. Page blanked by author[edit]

Hi. Though page blanking is usually vandalism and needs to be reverted, it is worth looking first at the page history, because quite often the author has blanked his own page, as with Sedum alfredii just now. In those cases the best thing is to tag it {{db-author}}. It can be confusing for an author who realises his page is inappropriate and blanks it, if his page is at once restored and he is accused of vandalism for the blanking and told it was unconstructive. This particular article has had a very chequered history - after you restored it, another editor wrongly tagged it as "nonsense"; so rather than delete it, I have explained to the original author what happened and asked him if that was what he intended. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 22:50, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I see what I did wrong now. I did look at the page history, but I assumed that it was an accident and reverted it for him. The warning was just so he understood why I reverted it. I thought that if he wanted to delete it, he would have added a tag. Kevinmontalktrib 04:45, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing PRODs[edit]

Hi Kevinmon! Just wanted to let you know that whenever a {{prod}} tag is removed, it can never be added back. Even if it is a bad-faith removal, or appears to have been removed as a type of vandalism. Once removed, it can't be reverted back. Instead, if editors still feel the article should be deleted, it goes to AfD. Check out WP:PROD for more info. Thanks! Singularity42 (talk) 06:15, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, can you help me fix the article that I messed up? Thanks. Kevinmontalktrib 06:20, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Already on it! Since I am the editor who tagged them to be PROD'd, I'm putting the AfDs together. Have fun with the vandalism patrol! Singularity42 (talk) 06:23, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Zelda Four Swords.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Zelda Four Swords.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:14, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea what you're talking about. The image is still being used in this article and NEVER was NOT being used. Please reassess your evaluation of this situation because your statements are not at all accurate. Kevinmontalktrib 21:23, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It was not in use during the three hours this was the current version. As it is now in use, a bot will shortly remove the deletion notice. (Actually, I'll go ahead and do it, but a bot would have by the end of the day UTC.) Courcelles 21:52, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha, I was not aware of that. May have been vandalism. Anyways thanks for the notice! Kevinmontalktrib 07:23, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

LOGO DESIGNER[edit]

Hello,

I’m not sure where you got this, but I am the Designer of this logo. My name is Amanda West, I was a student in the Visual Communication AP class, and the school decided to use this without my consent. Not too pleased that this would be up on the internet considering they never gave me credit for the logo at all. I am now in the VCD major a Purdue University and this logo should not have been stolen or done for free, this logo was even on our diploma. It would mean a lot to me if you would at least give me credit on this if you are to keep it up. or remove it entirely. If you have any questions, feel free to ask or contact the school.

Eden Eternal[edit]

Yes, sorry I failed to mention it in my edit summary. We only use actual release dates (ignore beta tests etc) that have a reliable source attached to them. The full text of what to categorise, and how, is at the bottom of the WP:VG/DATE section in the guidelines. It was a system we came up with because the year categories were getting filled with games that had not been released, had been cancelled etc and the category just generally needed better maintenance. We also created a sort of mid-way category Category:Upcoming video games scheduled for 2011 that cat helps us identify articles tat have missed their release date/window. If Eden Eternal has a rough date of "sometime in 2011" and a reference to prove it, that may be a more appropriate category for it at the moment. - X201 (talk) 08:47, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
