License tagging for Image:Watchtower.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Watchtower.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:13, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Watchtower.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Watchtower.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 07:54, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Was explained in Detailed Fair Use Rationale. Tag removed, etc. Thanks.  Joseph C  Talk  20:22, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The IP 66.177.5.252[edit]

Thank you, I was beginning to get the sense that I am alone out here. The user at IP 66.177.5.252 does have a history of heavily anti Jehovah's Witness editing and will not let up from his/her mission. This has also been the case on the articles Abaddon and Apollyon where this user and another user:A.J.A. have continually inserted anti Witness propaganda in the form of external links which are supposed to be sourcing Jehovah's Witness beliefs on the identity of Abaddon, while removing legitimate sources, references to Watchtower publications. Wonderpet 14:15, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous IP editing/vandalism is what I call cowardly and those that know know 99% of external links are apostate or anti-JW sadly.  Joseph C  Talk  14:34, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

66.177.5.252 & Jehovah's Witnesses Article[edit]

66.177.5.252 (talk) seems to be on a one-man crusade to remove the word Christian from the above article. I think he/she may have to be reported for revert-wars if he/she continues. Maybe he/she is trying to prevoke an angry response or some kind of confrontation, I have no idea? I have added my own comments to their talk page FYI. Thank you.  Joseph C  Talk  10:27, 22 June 2007 (UTC) (PS: He/she is still reverting it, even while I wrote this...)[reply]

It is a one man crusade. You can catch this individual on the 3RR by now, I'm sure. A new introduction needs to be written that is much shorter and actually talks about what the article covers. I will support the introduction of a new article introduction and help build a consensus to change it, if there someone starts the process for its rewrite. Fcsuper 23:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Dianarossiloveyou.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dianarossiloveyou.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:36, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JW Userbox[edit]

Long, long ago, I'd seen your userbox, but lamented the inclusion of the Ichthys which is not a symbol used by the group. Returning to the religion userbox page, I found another userbox created by another user as the only representation there. I'd thought back then of making my own and now took the time to figure out how to and added a few others. When clicking the category included on them all I saw your userbox at the top of it. The other userbox used the tetragrammaton and I wanted to check with you if I could replace the current symbol with that. I wouldn't make the change without consulting with you first, of course. --The Silent Wind of Doom (talk) 07:26, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You may have confused me with someone else, as I would never use the ichthys symbol. As far as anything I have devised or used in the past, feel free to use yourself. Thanks for asking. --  Joseph C  Talk  20:48, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
