April 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Omos, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 06:14, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there’s no source so i removed to avoid confusion. The source used is a YouTube video which is not reliable Jexta8866 (talk) 06:19, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Omos. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Mr.weedle (talk) 05:49, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Jexta8866 (talk) 05:51, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Omos, you may be blocked from editing. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 05:55, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did you go through the article? I’m restoring what is sourced in reliable sources cited in the article that an editor removed. Before you tell me about blocking please check the sources, thanks. I’m going back to restore the article how it was before, thanks. Jexta8866 (talk) 06:01, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Omos. Mr.weedle (talk) 06:03, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Omos. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Callmemirela 🍁 15:03, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Understanding policies[edit]

Hi. I think you need to better understand the WP:NPOV / WP:WEIGHT policies before you continue to edit on here. Making a claim that Omos is "one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation" using an interview from his manager as a source and inserting that claim in the opening paragraph of the article shows a serious lack of understanding of these core policies. It's Friday night and I have better things to do than to point out everything that is wrong with your edits to that page, but please heed the templates posted above and thoroughly read those policies before you find yourself taken to WP:ANI and slapped with a WP:CIR block. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  04:11, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  13:13, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was willing to work with you, but the personal attacks calling me a vandal lead me to conclude that you are not willing to collaborate. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  13:17, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well, i will be there Jexta8866 (talk) 13:21, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring, as you did at Omos. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:16, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
