Japanese[edit]

Hello there. Just a quick pointer. When adding links for Japanese, it's best to do it this way: [[Japanese language|Japanese]] Why? Well there are lots of articles that start with Japanese. Japanese is what we call a disambiguation page. It has a list of related articles. We do NOT want links to point to them if at all possible because it adds a second step to everyone's reading of WP. Recent edits[edit]

Hello, I am curious about your recent edits to many of the articles, Please remember that the English Wikipedia, is not the same as Japanese Wikipedia. I would appreciate the effort to stop with your absurd edits..thanks South Bay (talk) 02:02, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also confused about the edits as well, what's the point of converting English words into Japanese?69.65.224.246 (talk) 23:25, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the second time, Please keep the English Wikipedia, speaking english, thanks..South Bay (talk) 23:33, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with the above editors - I like having the Japanese names on English pages. There is a discussion about this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles#Japandamonium that you might like to join. Stepho-wrs (talk) 04:27, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please join us in the discussion. However, until a consensus is reached, please stop adding Japanese characters. Several people disagree with what you're doing and if the consensus is to remove these, you're only creating more work. So please hold off on the additions for a bit. Thanks.--Flash176 (soon to be known as Ridge Runner) (talk) 09:54, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Toyota vs Toyoda[edit]

Hi. The family name is "Toyoda" (トヨダ, with 2 ticks at the end). The parent company of TMC, Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, used this form too. But Toyota Motor Corp always used the simpler version "Toyota" (トヨタ). Cheers. Stepho-wrs (talk) 23:02, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
