Hi! It's clear from your username and edit history that you are a paid editor editing here without having made appropriate disclosure. Our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. If you are receiving, or expect to receive, monetary or other benefits or considerations from editing Wikipedia as a representative of an organization (as an employee or contractor; as an employee or contractor of a firm hired by that organization for public-relations purposes; as owner, officer or other stakeholder; or by having some other form of close financial relationship with a topic you wish to write about), then you must disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jai at Parijaat Media. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jai at Parijaat Media|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please say so, here on this page. Otherwise, please make the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you have answered this message. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:09, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! Thanks for reaching out. I must confess that it took me hell lot of time to figure out where to respond to your concerns. I went to your talk page but couldn't find a way to respond to your queries/concerns there hence I decided to share my response here. I am still not too sure if this is the correct way. Anyways, this is to submit that I am not a paid editor. I have created my user page and put a disclaimer in this regard, as instructed. If I was suspected because of my username then I chose because I had received a notification that my previous username 'ParijaatMedia' was violating Wikipedia's Terms of Use. In the same notification, it was suggested to keep it in the manner it is at present. Please let me know if it needs to be changed or modified. And if I was suspected because of my latest edit then I made it because Kai Greene visited my gym as part of his Inspire India Tour where he announced that he is going to open the Dynamik Gyms chain in India in association with Viva Fitness, the same fitness equipment brand I use to workout at my gym and at home. Being a Kai Greene fan I thought I must put it on Wikipedia as it is very big news for Indian fitness enthusiasts and Kai Greene fans. I also wish to create a page for Viva Fitness- the brand Kai Greene endorses. In fact, I had started to create it a few hours ago but then I saw your notification and stopped. If it is a problem then please let me know. I would rather not do it. I don't want to get into trouble for nothing. Please let me know. Thank you. Regards, Jai

So, according to this page, "Parijaat media is one stop destination for all online and offline media services required for corporate and political branding". You changed your username from Parijaat Media to Jai at Parijaat Media, so you are clearly connected to that business. How is this not paid editing? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:07, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, The description on the page is absolutely correct. And yes, I am associated to Parijaat Media. And for your kind information, I have disclosed it from day one by choosing usernames- 'Parijaat Media' and 'Jai at Parijaat Media'. If I had any intention of hiding this fact, I would have never chosen these usernames in the first place. And on the same page that you referred in your response, just an inch above the place from where you copied this statement, "Parijaat Media is one..."; we have disclosed the list of our clients. And I don't think if we have even touched Wikipedia pages of any of our client. Any edit that I have made on Wikipedia by far have been made only in my individual capacity. Now, keeping in mind all the facts stated above, can you please let me know how that becomes paid editing? Thank you. Regards,

It's hard to believe that the six logos on your website is an exhaustive list of clients, particularly when the 'recent projects' section above seems to show work relating to different clients. Either way, edits like this one are unacceptable. If Kai Greene, Viva Fitness or Dynamik Gyms are your clients, you shouldn't be editing about any of them at all in main space; even if none of them is, edits like that are obviously promotional, and should be avoided. Please stick to neutral, factual language, and don't use Instagram as a source. GirthSummit (blether) 12:08, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Following is my submission: 1. It's hard to...: It's not how you interpreted it. I can explain, if required. 2. Either way, edits like...: Well noted. 3. If Kai Greene, Viva Fitness...: I wish if they were my client but actually they are not. 4. even if none of them is...: This is well noted. Thank you so much for letting me know. Thank you. Regards,

July 2019[edit]

Hello, Jai at Parijaat Media. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  User:Jai at Parijaat Media has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

There is a very common mistake of assuming that the prohibition of promotional editing applies only to promotion for commercial gain, but that is not so.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.
