October 2018[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:18, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi there! I've used the username "JTRSAC" to indicate that I work for Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co., which as stated above, does conflict with your username policy. However, the reason why I've created this account is to edit the Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co. Wikipedia page on behalf of the company -- I was planning on declaring my COI before I make any edits or suggestions. The Reliance Wikipedia page, namely the History section, has a large amount of irrelevant information. It can be rewritten or edited with sources to more accurately communicate the history of the company. Please advise if I need to make a different account name. Thank you! Accept reason:

Hi @Dlohcierekim: they have changed their username from RelianceCorpComm to JTRSAC, which could be their initials+RSAC, so we still need a rename? ‐‐1997kB (talk) 04:43, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OHHH. Never mind then.-- Dlohcierekim (talk)

JTRSAC Conflict of Interest[edit]

To Whom it May Concern:

I am an employee of Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co., and intend to use this account to edit the Reliance Wikipedia page. Since I am receiving paid compensation for these services, my goal is to be as transparent as possible, and to declare my obvious conflict of interest outright on this page. Any and all suggestions I make intend to follow Wikipedia's guidelines and policies, and I plan to make well-sourced, neutral suggestions to help better convey the information presented on the company page. My username JTRSAC denotes my initials, "JT", and the company, "RSAC", I work for.
