Speedy deletion nomination of Possible stub articles[edit]

Hello Hvanwy1,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Possible stub articles for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 23:03, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello, Hvanwy1 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 02:12, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More explanation[edit]

Hello, I'm neither the person who nominated or deleted your page, but I feel that the action requires more explanation. Well, it seems that you have created a page called Possible stub articles. However, you inadvertently created the page as am article - that means you created an actual encyclopedia article called "possible stub articles". No worries about that, no harm has been done :) I do still feel that the deletion of your page was a poor decision and it would have been better to simply recover your contents onto your userpage. Do take care, when creating any personal pages for your own use in the future, to create it as a subpage of your userpage. So you would create your old page as User:Hvanwy1/Possible stub articles. You can find the page by searching in the search box "User:Hvanwy1/Possible stub articles". Anyway, apologies for the deletion of your page, and thanks for editing here. I have contacted the deleting admin here and he'll probably recover the page soon. Thanks! Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 02:28, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Introducing myself[edit]

I work with the Wiki Education Foundation, and help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment. If there's anything I can do to help with your assignment (or, for that matter, any other aspect of Wikipedia) please feel free to drop me a note. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:19, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
