G'day, I have done a bit of work on this and have now moved it into article space as the topic seems like a viable article to me. (The article can be found at History of aviation in New Zealand). Unfortunately, I am not an aviation specialist so I can't really do much more to improve the article, but I would really like to encourage you to do so.
