Welcome![edit]

Hello, Hec44, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Hec44/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Tea House, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! The king of the sun (talk) 20:20, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Hec44/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from see talk page. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have deleted your sandbox. Changing a few words here and there does not exempt you from charges of plagiarism, see Close paraphrasing. Please do not copy text from other sources into Wikipedia - write your contributions in your own words. Yunshui  22:00, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ignore that - not your fault at all. There's a reply to your message (and an apology!) on my talkpage. Your sandbox is back up, at least while I sort out who's copied what from whom; either way, I won't delete it again without consulting you first. Yunshui  22:41, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A cupcake for you![edit]

As an apology for making your work here more difficult today than it should have been. Yunshui  22:59, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Vogue (magazine) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • school could not be judged a success if it did not create a demand for American cosmetics.” <ref>{{citation|last=Bose|first=Purnima|title=A Cosmetic Cover for Occupation.|url=http://www.solidarity-

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 18:20, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vogue[edit]

Thanks for the message. I did not know you are a new editor, so please feel free to make contact for anything else. Regards,--Soulparadox (talk) 19:15, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good work[edit]

Hello Haley.

I'm very pleased to see the work you've done to endeavor to improve the Vogue article in the Wikipedia encyclopedia. I appreciated seeing your efforts to work with other editors, communicate on Talk pages as needed, all while being bold in your work to improve this repository of human knowledge.

I do hope you'll consider starying on, and giving a go at Wikipedia in a non-coursework and non-instructor-graded way after the end of your university term.

To that end, I would encourage you to find one or two more articles—articles in which you are interested, though not necessarily super knowledgeable in the subject—and give them a good reading. Make a couple of notes about what could be improved (maybe just grammar or spelling, or perhaps better sources, or maybe a clearer way to express an idea that is already sourced in the article, or whatever). Then, if you'd like to, go ahead and make an edit to improve the article. If not, maybe you would consider adding an article-improvement tag to help invite some other editor in to possibly improve the article.

Either way, I'd be happy to help you and mentor you in the process. Just ask me on my Talk page if interested. Best wishes in your future, either way, N2e (talk) 16:15, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
