Sandia Base[edit]
This article was really just a stub. It did not reflect the substantial role that Sandia Base played in maintaining the United States strategic deterrent during the Cold War. (I'm not sure the re-write does it justice, either, but I hope it's closer). I lived at Sandia Base from 1961 to 1969 and later served 34 years in the Air Force. After I left Sandia Base, I visited a number of times and so kept up with what was going on there. I look forward to others making contributions to the Sandia Base article to capture the history of a significant installation. HCManson (talk) 04:40, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
