Howdy, I second BQZip01's invitation to join WikiProject Texas A&M. We really are nice people - I promise - and we all speak Aggie (although out of the goodness of our hearts we've also invited a t-sip and a Red Raider to join) ;) It's great that you are so interested in the Texas A&M University article, and there are lots of other Aggie articles that need tender loving care to whip into shape. A&M establishment[edit]

Hello, Gregzeppelin. Texas A&M was actually established by the Texas Legislature in 1871, and it was opened for classes in 1876. The link you provided does not state the university was established in 1876. Anything that says A&M was established in 1876 is simply wrong. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
