ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Note on adding missions to SpaceX[edit]

At the top of every year's section there is this long note, but people don't seem to read it and you appeared to have not read it either. Do you have any suggestions so that people such as yourself see it?

More precise launch windows are listed first, e.g. within a given year, we first sort missions by announced launch day, then by launch month, then by launch quarter. We then add missions with no tentative date but likely to launch in this particular quarter or year based on ancillary information. The chronological order of announcements should be a reasonable approximation of the effective backlog for a given quarter or year.

I've been editing pages for more then 2 years now, and usually I immediately scroll down to the area I want to edit without paying much attention to the rest. I guess other people are doing the same. Will definetly keep this in mind from now on.

I don't really know if you can do much more to get people to read this. It would be great if the color could be changed to make it stand out more, or if people would need to agree with these "rules", but unfortunatly that is currently not possible. The "date" in 'citation needed'[edit]

Hello @GigaShip. I am @Archer1234. I noticed a minor issue with your recent edit to List of Falcon 9 first-stage boosters. The |date= parameter for {{citation needed}} (and other maintenance templates) consists of the full English name of the current month (with initial capital and rest lowercase), a space, and the year. The date of the day must not be included. This ensures that the article gets placed into the correct maintenance/tracking category (e.g., Category:Articles with unsourced statements from December 2022).

If you look at the version of the article you changed and scroll down to the bottom where the categories are listed, you should see a red-link Category:Articles with unsourced statements from 12 December 2022, which is an indication that there is an error somewhere in the article. An article with an invalid date like that is also automatically added to Category:Articles with invalid date parameter in template, which is where I saw the page listed. This is not a big deal, but I did want to bring it to your attention for future edits. Thanks. — Archer1234 (talk) 23:05, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
