About your username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (GegenIsrael) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is clearly offensive in its nature. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. --Asteriontalk 15:57, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry bucko, my name isn't offensive at all; quite far from "clearly." In fact it is a made up name. Are you a king of the stars?? Didn't think so. I can say the same thing about you; you clearly have an improper name. If you find offense, PROPERLY describe what the offense is. I have a feeling you don't like me because of the flavor of knowledge I pursue. Unfortunately, being opened minded requires accepting a variety of ways for cataloging and organizing information. I have done NOTHING wrong in my posts or actions. Frankly, if you don't provide me some examples then I will have to report you for BULLYING and SLANDER.GegenIsrael (talk) 23:50, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, you seem to be seriously misguided as to what Wikikpedia is about, first of all people try to remain civil, so adressing the person as bucko is rude, as for usernames, if I were to call myself User:GegenIsraelsuckscock and justify it as a made-up name would that be okay with you? This is not a personal attack or any insinuation that you do, indeed, suck cock, it is merely to try and show you that your points are worthless. Citing policy left, right and centre is known as wikilawyering, if you went and read the suggestion that Asterion is suggesting you might like to take on board the fact that:
  • Offensive usernames are those that offend other contributors, making harmonious editing difficult or impossible.
  • Disruptive usernames include outright trolling or personal attacks, include profanities or otherwise show a clear intent to disrupt Wikipedia.
Wikipedia has a set of policies and guidelines about presenting information, arrived at by consensus and collaborative effort, I do not adhere necessarily to all but I respect the wish of the project and the general point of view.
I suggest that you join a philosophical debating society as we have not effectively defined the human mind, or its limits or its constraints. But Wikipedia is not the place to engage in such debate. CaptainScreebo Parley! 23:46, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May 2011[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. None of the reasons you have given are correct. I wish to escalate this incident. I believe you are attempting to bully me with your POV. Today I was going to report a variety of serious incidents that should deserve your attention. The poster who attempted to "clarify" for me what Asterion was doing is clearly offensive and illogical. I wish to report that individual. Please direct me to the appropriate forum where I can defend myself. I have done NOTHING wrong and in fact defended against recent antisemitic vandalism. Your understanding of my name is also incorrect and I wish to know what you think I mean by "Israel." There are a variety of meanings. The only reason why you guys are bulling me is because you don't like me. I have done nothing wrong and WILL NOT be BULLIED and SLANDERED. Please direct me to the appropriate area so that I can not only become "unbanned" but also file complaints against you (for having no interaction with me whatsoever before the ban. That is, this is all a surprise and clearly SUMMARY and hence unjust by current ethical standards) and against those recently who accused me of antisemitism and attacked me as a person. I am very upset and disappointed with Wikipedia right now and wish to contribute any way I can which in the current case is to fight against bullying and closed minded individuals.GegenIsrael (talk) 04:58, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a battleground. Accusing the blocking admin of POV will not get you unblocked. Toddst1 (talk) 05:07, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That was quick. I see a lot of thought went into it. I enjoy Jewish knowledge. Some people like cars, bikes, history, etc. My perspective is to enhance Wikipedia's Jewish knowledge set which is underreported. This is what the combination "Forensic Epistemologist" means. This is a SERVICE. How in anyway is this a violation of neutrality or antisemitic? I am simply listing my interests. I can look at your own pages and it lists your interests. My starting point, I'm somewhat new, is Jewish knowledge threads; it will probably expand. There is nothing wrong with this. In additions NOT ONE of my Contributions were out of line or reported. I have done nothing wrong since I've joined Wikipedia. Frankly, I really hope you guys are Jewish because if you aren't and taking issue with this to a Jew, like myself, DOES indicate you have an antisemitic thought process. Reverse Antisemitism is just as bad as antisemetism. It is analogous to the situation between Good and Bad stereotypes. You are doing no good here people. In fact, if I were not Jewish and a borderline Antisemite this clearly improper actions would make me hate Jews since the only reason I am being bullied is because it involves merely the concept of Judaism. If my "description" is what is bothering you I will change it. It will not change the poster or rather your idea of the poster. I can also setup a new account and can be dishonest which is what a corrupting of Wikipedia rules by banning me promotes. Is that the "culture" you want??

On a side note, that whole POV remark by you was quite unnecessary and immature. "Judges" are oftentimes appealed due to a bias. I showed you guys that NOT ONE of the BANNING requirements were met. Therefore, I have the right to search for an alternate reason. Once again, give me PRECISELY what rule you are using to ban me and provide the link. We all have interests and biases. Just because you don't like mine, you are not allowed to use banning as a punishment. That is expressed clearly in the banning section. GegenIsrael (talk) 05:24, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Your name, and your actions (especially linked together) are polar opposites to what Wikipedia is about. You should also read the difference between a WP:BLOCK and a WP:BAN. To claim racism, hatred, misunderstanding, etc on behalf of admins who are upholding the policies and protecting the encyclopedia from actions like yours is the lowest of the low. To "on a side note" threaten to WP:SOCK/WP:EVADE in order to continue was bad, but not the worst mistake - believing you can continue to make the edits due to some form of freedom/hobby to a privately-owned website is. You might want to read WP:EBUR, but I see no viable way to become unblocked if your intent is to continue in this manner. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 08:57, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your stated goal ("the identification of Jewish threads throughout Wikipedia that have not been identified") is incompatible with writing a neutral encyclopedia. POV edits, soapboxing and username indicate that this is not just a behavior that can be rectified, but a fundamental incompatibility with what we're doing here. --Floquenbeam (talk) 00:55, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"Think of me as a Forensic Epistemologist of all things Jew." Clearly shows you are on a completely inappropriate mission. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 05:08, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
