You had deleted this game title from the Serious game page... indicating that it was not noteworthy. I do not believe you have play it and thus i am curious as to how you are making that determination. There are so few games in this genre. They are all note worthy. No, I haven't played it, but I don't need to. I deleted all games that didn't have articles. It is part of keeping the article tidy. I felt the novel is a good addition to the list of external links you already have. I found no copyright in the Novel itself. I felt as the other external links were very much like mine, I could include it in the page. I have no intention of spamming. I asked whether I can post the rapidshare link of the novel? The only thing I can recommend is discussing it on the The Call of Cthulhu Talk page. Ask other users what they think of it. But, from what I can tell, it is just spam. There are hundreds of fan fiction works based on the Cthulhu mythos, and we are not in the business of linking to them. Hi there! I noticed you reverted my changes on the Sid Meier talk page. I felt that an unsourced comment accusing him of racism did not belong on his talk page, so I just threw it out. Yes, usually stuff isn´t deleted off talk pages, but this is an article about a living person and should a comment like that coming from someone that just jumped in not be deleted? That was a completely inappropriate response. I was not yelling at you at all, any yelling you are assuming is coming from your own imagination. Your tone reeks of incivility and personal attacks and I wish you would refrain from using Nazi as a pejorative. Next time you do so, I will report it. Considering I am of German ancestory I am deeply offended by that. If you knew how to write a rationale, it wouldn't take an hour, it would only take a few minutes. There are plenty of guidelines to assist you in doing so and if you had trouble you could have simply asked me to help you write one and I would have done so. Also, you changed computer-supported in to computer game, but this is not the case. We are very ardent about maintaining a neutral point of view here on the 'pedia. Any sources should be ref with the <ref> tags. I think they were added before there was a complete list of Activision titles. I took them out. Pitfall started the series, so it is on the list. It's really spam. It's a link to an example of an audio game. Think what would happen if we allowed such links for the video game article, or eBook article? I don't see what's wrong with a link to an example of the subject of the article, those kind of links are all over Wikipedia. Was it pay to play? Was it free? I didn't claim that it did! All I tried to convey is that it would be more useful to bring this issue up with more people. I am just a single person, with my own opinions, biases and knowledge. I try to uphold Wikipedia policy when possible, but some things slip through the cracks. To me, your link fits the definition of SPAM. If you don't think it is, and you really want to link to it, fine. Get the backing of other editors. You're not going to get mine. But if you get the backing of several editors with lucid arguments as to why it should be allowed, fine. But if you add it again without any such justification, I'll revert it again. I told you where to bring it up. Please do so. Doing so will get you support if your link is justified. Talking to just me is wasting your time, and my time. I think I misrepresented myself to you, I'm not hung up over the link itself I was just asking you why you felt it was spam. I wasn't looking for mass feedback, or a reason to restore it, I wanted to know what you thought because it didn't make sense to me. I look to understand how other editors think so as to improve how I think. "More people" didn't revert the link, just you. Also, I'm also not the one who originally posted the link (check the changelog) and it's not like you came up with a resounding reason to remove it either. There's nothing wrong with biases but if you're editing by them it would be best not to.

Okay, that cleared some things up. I removed the link (the second time) based on this guideline. I removed it the first time based on the fact that it is not in English. That was somewhat hasty, but the guidelines say try to avoid linking to sites in a foreign language, unless that information can't be found in English anywhere else. Judy Blume

Thank you for your edits to my references at Judy Blume! I will be going through my other contributions to make those changes too! As a newbie, I appreciate your help. I'm working hard to learn how to add citations and references to some of my favorite authors. It's difficult as children's book authors are not frequently written about in the press. Perhaps you can also help me with one of the pages to which I have contributed. I made a couple of edits to an article Michelle Ferguson-Cohen, but I got pulled back in by several postings to my talk page including a AFD request. As a newbie, I assumed that it was best for me to defend my edits. After doing so with the guidance of a more experienced editor who contributed to the article, some admin said I had a "COI" and was a "spammer". It was a horrible first experience, but hasn't stopped me from contributing elsewhere. Still, I'd like your two cents on this article, because now that I have a bit more experience, I see there are some things going on there I have not encountered elsewhere in other articles. They can't dispute my citations, but are using the discussion page to continue to make false claims that are not referenced. --JSane (talk) 07:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't know why people are claiming you have a conflict of interest with the article's subject unless you are Michelle Ferguson-Cohen or are somehow involved with her, either personally or professionally. I looked at the article and copyedited it a little bit. I'm a little pressed for time right now, so I couldn't be thorough, but it wasn't too bad. One thing to keep in mind is that book titles are italicized and that references should look like this:

Ah! Thanks for your help on the formatting issue! As for the COI thing on the Michelle Ferguson-Cohen article, I don't take it too personally, according to Hsu12, everyone who made any contribution is related to the author somehow we're all spammers and sockpuppets. As a newbie, it made me feel pretty darned unwelcomed though and I'm incredibly offended that somebody has made an accusation like that. Um, I'm kind of surprised to get this "warning". I normally don't change British English to American English or vice-versa: I'm well aware of Wikipedia's standards for localized spelling. But the word in question here—"mold" (vs. the British "mould")—showed up as misspelled in my browser (Firefox). I just changed it to the American English version of the word, assuming the original author had mistakenly misspelled it. I wasn't aware that there was a difference in spelling between the British and American, and the rest of the article doesn't seem especially "British" anyway. It was an honest mistake. I don't promise it won't happen again—I'm in favor of correcting misspellings when I spot them. Yeah, I'm sorry about the templated warning. With hindsight I realise that it's not something you're likely to do. As a Brit it kind of grates when I see English spellings altered to the American version (particularly when it is a UK-centric article - the Games Workshop games articles frequently have this problem). The funny thing about spell-checkers is that one can set them to US English and they'll flag colour as being incorrectly spelt. Set them to Non-US English, however, and they won't always flag color as being incorrectly spelt - my English teachers at school would have had fits if I'd submitted an essay with color or center in them! LOL!

I see you answered your own question there. Also, since the original game (Darter) doesn't even have an article, how important can it be? As you should be aware the wiki arcade games project has been marked inactive and with good reason. I am trying to increase the activity of this project but first I need to know who is still actually interested. So to find out I have put inactive next to the name of every person who has put them selves down as a participant of the project. If for whatever reason you do not intend to participate in the project anymore please remove your name from the participant list altogether. If you do but not in the near future leaving inactive next to your username will be helpful. Not taking any action at all will of course lead to inactive remaining against your name on the participant list. Removed Assumption on Xenophobe (videogame) Page

I thought I'd just drop you a quick line to let you know that one really could do well enough that fatigue would set in before lack of funds did. It was not an assumption. I played that game for 8+ hours one day, starting at 9999 health, and never once adding a credit to continue. My health floated between 4000 and 6000 through the day. Finally, I just had to sit down, and I handed the game over to a friend who was pretty good at it. I had "turned over" the game so many times that the difficulty was at maximum and he lost all 6000 health points within 2 minutes.  :-)

Were it not for my getting tired, I could have continued to play indefinitely, as the game's difficulty had peaked. (My hand was stuck in a "joystick pose" for about an hour after...)  :-)

Just FYI. Not asking you to change the page.
