November 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Puddle of Mudd seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 06:41, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Palookaville (album), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Robvanvee 07:22, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Bills (song)[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bills (song), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Disambiguation link notification for April 30[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited John Fogerty discography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Love and War. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

May 2017[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at Sublime (band). Robvanvee 04:55, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

June 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Control (Puddle of Mudd song). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 04:31, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Genres in music[edit]

At New Politics (band) you added a genre with an edit summary indicating that you listened to the music and analyzed its genre. Wikipedia is not about that kind of editing; see WP:No original research. Instead, we look at WP:Reliable sources such as magazines and music criticism websites, and we tell the reader what those publications say about the genre. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

December 2017[edit]

You've been warned seven times about poor referencing. Those warnings have come from five different editors, including me. It's probably time to read WP:GWAR, which will help you understand a bit more about referencing genres, and WP:RS. Consider this a friendly final warning. And you might want to consider using the edit summary when editing. And you might want to reference changes you make, not just to genres. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:51, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Heaven nor Hell, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
