Merge proposal[edit]

There is a discussion going on about whether or not to merge WikiProject Dogs and WikiProject Dog breeds together. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Coaster1983 (talk) 18:22, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FYI: The links were restored by Lhammer610, who also started a discussion on external links and repair (at the top of the talk page rather than the bottom, so I almost missed it myself). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 00:33, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This was overlooked because it was top posted normally I see new threads at the bottom of a discussion page. Thank you Barek for notification. Felix the Hurricane (talk) 21:21, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Digitpress[edit]

{{helpme}}

I am having trouble editing one of the articles I work on, that article being Cuttle Cart. When I try to make fixes using Advisor.js it says that one of the references being cited, digitpress, is a blacklisted hyperlink. I'm not sure why this is the case and am hoping that it can be fixed. Please review the Cuttle Cart page for details as I would prefer to keep this reference in tact. Thank you, Felix the Hurricane (talk) 20:47, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The link to digitpress . com is blacklisted in our spam filter. You will not be able to save any page with a blacklisted link in - noone can. I have tried to replace that link with a link to the web archive, but this is also rejected. I'm sorry, but no more versions of this page can be saved with that reference (it's number 2) intact. Stwalkerstertalk ] 21:24, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I do not find this acceptable and would like to escalate this matter, can you please direct me to the appropriate person or forum to discuss this further? I would like to understand why this reference is being excluded, since it clearly is not being used for spamming purposes. Felix the Hurricane (talk) 21:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can request to have the domain removed from the MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist if you wish on this page. An admin will have to do this for you though. Stwalkerstertalk ] 21:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: You may also be interested in this archived discussion: Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)/Archive_28#Blacklist_of_digitpress. Further down into the discussion, someone posted links to the reasons for the blacklist, as well as mentioning how to request it be whitelisted for a specific article. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 21:45, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you both for your help I have left a message with an administrator to see if an exception can be granted on the whitelist for this specific article. Felix the Hurricane (talk) 22:57, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its Whitelisted. ;)--Hu12 (talk) 23:10, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
