Co-op mentorship[edit]

Hello EditorRazu, welcome to Wikipedia! I'm Huon, your Co-op mentor. You said you wanted to introduce new things; do you have particular topics in mind that you want to write about? Huon (talk) 21:40, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, I saw you've found my user page and created your own. I have removed the "admin" icon you apparently copy-pasted; since you're not an admin it could cause confusion. If you want to state that you're a native speaker of Bengali, the code for that within the {{babel}} box is simply "bn" without a suffix (and without the quotation marks). If there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask. Huon (talk) 00:35, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, EditorRazu. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Alhaz Jamirun Noor High School, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ~EdGl! 00:36, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Oslil Kobi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Deletion discussion about Alhaz Jamirun Noor High School[edit]

Hello, EditorRazu,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Alhaz Jamirun Noor High School should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alhaz Jamirun Noor High School .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, ~EdGl! 04:39, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ouch, I just saw that your first article has been nominated for deletion. The problem is that Wikipedia content should be a summary of what reliable independent sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines report on a subject. While the standards for high schools are rather lower than for other topics, particularly for biographies, some coverage is still required - more than mere list entries or a Google Maps link. For example, "It was established in 1990 by Alhaz Chowdhury." - how can our readers verify that?
The deletion discussion will last for a week. You're welcome to contribute to it here. Right now it seems as if the discussion may lean towards keeping the article, but to be honest, the "speedy keep" "votes" (it's not really a vote, but a discussion) aren't really grounded in Wikipedia policy and thus don't carry much weight. Showing that reliable sources have discussed the school in some detail would be far better at ensuring that the article is kept, and would allow us to improve the article by summarizing what those sources report, too. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rumen Ahmed Razu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. January 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Rumen Ahmed Razu. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia.CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 20:54, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Sylhet Cantonment Public School and College has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
