Joyce Meyer / Paula White / T. D. Jakes[edit]

I agree that the sources do not support the statements made. I have requested the editor to cite it on their talk page. Give it a couple of days and if it is not resolved we can reword or remove the section. Cheers GtstrickyTalk or C 01:18, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I looked at the Paula White article and made detailed comments on Talk:Paula White. I also noticed your edit on Three Cups of Tea. Regarding both of those articles, I'd like to remind you that, in general, if you can rewrite something that is partly accurate to be accurate, that's better than deleting it / reverting the other editor. On Paula White, for instance, Larry King definitely hit her on the credentials; so part of the statement was unquestionably referenced--she conceded she'd had no formal training. He probed in depth, which implies criticism -- hard to tell from a transcript, though, and it's better to have something that is explicitly critical. But you could rewrite to delete the overbroad information, which is a more constructive way to work with other editors. The same applies for Three Cups of Tea -- you removed a small criticism of the section that included quotes, and you said they weren't referenced; but they were referenced in the text itself. The text listed sources for the quotes, even though the sources didn't have full cites, it was enough for me to easily identify the quotes and make the cites more complete. • I would suggest moving the education credentials and the citations for them to the body of each biography and out of the 'criticism' section, since criticisms can not seem to be sourced to credible sources, but the credentials (or lack thereof)can be sourced.--Lyonscc (talk) 04:40, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
