KDKA[edit]

Hey, I added the "Guiding Light" at 10am reference to the Trivia section on the KDKA page. Wanted to put it under Programming, but there was no programming section. If there is a more appropriate section for it, please let me know and I will be glad to transfer it there or if you think it would work better, I can make a Programming section on the page. Hope you have a good week....SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 17:01, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dealing with vandals[edit]

  1. Add new warnings to the bottom of the user's talk page, where others will look for them.
  2. Tell me if you think someone needs blocked, and I will take a look.
  3. Is there a reason you removed a warning from your own talk page?

You do great work; you should join WP:PGH. --Chris Griswold () 20:20, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Martino/KDKA[edit]

Just wondering why you removed Paul Martino from the KDKA page. He is still listed on the KDKA website, so I guess he is still on KDKA television. I am going to revert. If he is leaving, put the date he is leaving beside his name and we will delete him when that date passes. Take Care...SVRTVDude (VT) 09:55, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just update the pages with the information they give me...this time it was wrong. Sorry about that. So, who do they have doing weekend mornings? - SVRTVDude (VT) 10:08, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That works. I just put it down like it was written on the KDKA site. But that works just as good. I also used "passed away" cause for some reason "died" cause seems harsh. Probably all the crap that has gone down in VA lately. But either or works fine for me. Take Care....SVRTVDude (VT) 12:10, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KDKA Slogan[edit]

I was actually the one who removed the slogan in the first place. I watched a couple opens on YouTube, asked around, checked out KDKA.com and couldn't find anything that had a real slogan. So, I figured it was better not to have it listed then to have it listed wrong. So, thanks for confirming it was right after all for me. Take Care...SVRTVDude (VT) 22:03, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"passed away"[edit]

Really? I always use it cause it seems a little less, I don't know, harsh then "died" or "dead". I have no real point of view there I am trying to express, it is just a variation on the way I write articles. Sorry if stepped on any toes. KDKA Newstimes[edit]

I don't mind going with the 4 to 5 or 5 to 6, I just was being as encyclopedic as possible when I wrote that. Hence my 4 to 4:59. I personally don't mind it being the generic 4 to 5. Each works just as good:) - NeutralHomer T:C 04:14, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KDKA-TV[edit]

Thanks for the corrections in the former anchors/reporters section. I tried my best when looking them all up. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 00:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I suggest you get cracking and work your magic on the other hundreds of TV station pages here on Wiki.

Short read for you: WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. Precis: Whining about how other crap exists? Never has been convincing.

If you're going to be irrational and stridently resist any attempts for dialogue, you may as well do it on as many pages as you can.

Is there an English translation of that available? While you're pondering that, note also how many editors have removed the cruft: that should qualify as a hint. --Calton | Talk 02:38, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and if you need a bigger hint, try here. --Calton | Talk 02:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry if I spoke proper English and it went over your head.
"Nonsense" is not a known variant of proper English. Ask your teacher.
I don't completely disagree with WP:NOT#DIR, but I disagree with the way you opt to run roughshod through implementing the change.
Hmm, that I can translate: "I don't have a leg to stand on, and while I didn't know it before, I'm not about to admit it now." Got it. --Calton | Talk 14:01, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newscast Schedules[edit]

Hey Dude, don't worry about User:Calton...I took care of the newscast schedules. Didn't want to, but I did. I had to remove a few other schedules while I was at it (syndicated programming, etc.). Went to do the same to the national broadcast networks pages (they would also fall under WP:NOT#DIR) and was instantly reverted by User:Calton citing WP:POINT.

Gotta love that...he cites a rule, then when something is changed because it is in violation of that rule, he reverts it. I think that is being "dishonest" and hypocritical.

But anywho, don't worry about the newscast schedules. I took care of them, in under 6 hours. More than you could say for User:Calton, User:JzG, AND User:A Man In Black in three full days....and I am just a lowly editor. - NeutralHomer T:C 11:29, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

F.Y.I.[edit]

Whenever you revert an edit, unless it's vandalism, you should state a reason for undoing it. Kd lvr 16:31, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User page warnings.[edit]

When you add a warning to a user page as you did to User talk:67.128.87.106 please sign and date your warning so that the next person who adds a warining knows when the previous warning was made. Thanks. Triwbe 18:24, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd appriciate if you would keep the WPCW anchors the same[edit]

Thanks Ad84 9:29AM DEC 27
