Speedy deletion nomination of Investigators, inc.[edit]

A tag has been placed on Investigators, inc., requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. Please don't copy text from other websites, not even the article subject's own website[edit]
Your addition to Investigators, inc. has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Regarding File:Ed Du Bois, Sr.jpg[edit]
According to the license tags on File:Ed Du Bois, Sr.jpg, you took the photograph (or have otherwise gained ownership of it). Do you not remember anything about when you took the photo? —C.Fred (talk) 12:12, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Taking a photograph of a photograph does not give you new rights: the rights to the image still belong with the original photographer. Based on the claim that it's a family photograph, you probably do have the rights to license the image freely.
- However, based on the claim that it's a family photograph, you appear to have a conflict of interest with the Du Bois family and articles, such as Investigators, inc., that are written about them. —C.Fred (talk) 12:46, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Ed Du Bois, Sr.jpg[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:Ed Du Bois, Sr.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
