The song "article"[edit]

With all due respect, what is "extremely important to the thousands of Dalriads" doesn't matter in the context of what belongs on Wikipedia. What matters is what is notable in a wider world. That song is not notable outside of "Dalriads." Therefore, it does not belong on Wikipedia. It will be nominated for outright deletion (which is much more severe than a redirect) if it's added again. • This isn't a battle, and we aren't warriors. We're simple editors, and we're supposed to be creating an encyclopedia. I know you love your alma mater, as you should. But Wikipedia is not the place to try to display that love by creating articles about everything related to the school. I removed the wikisource link as well, since it pointed to an empty page. Also, this isn't about power, it's about creating an encyclopedia. And despite your protestations, your last post did compare me to those evil men, even tangentially, which is extremely rude. Please refrain from doing so in the future. Best of luck in your editing of Wikipedia. I'm still learning, as you are. Regards, S. Dean Jameson 00:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I noticed you fixed that problem. Good work. I'm not sure of the policies on wikisource, and linking there from here, so I can't comment on the applicability of the page at wikisource, or linking to it from here. I also appreciate that you've modified your more militant tone. As Irridescent noted below, it's never helpful to attack other editos like that. S. Dean Jameson 00:27, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • No worries, Billy. We're all here for the same reason. S. Dean Jameson 00:34, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

June 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:S. Dean Jameson. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  – iridescent 00:24, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:25, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
