Answering Teahouse questions[edit]

Hi Amy. Thanks for trying to answer some questions at the Teahouse. While there's nothing wrong with the answers you have provided so far, in general I would suggest that new editors gain a bit more experience editing Wikipedia and getting to know its policies and guidelines before becoming active in answering Teahouse questions. Can I also remind you about the need to indent your replies? Please see Help:Using talk pages#Indentation and Wikipedia:Indentation if you are unsure about this. Teahouse tags[edit]

Amy, you have placed two identical messages on my talk page, saying "Your question has been answered at the ... Teahouse", and containing misformatted links. I have not asked any question at the Teahouse. Please try to be more careful when you place tags on editors' talk pages – it really doesn't matter to me, but it might confuse new users to get such messages. Maproom (talk) 12:55, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't get it. Wait a minute! What do you want to mean? What the hell are you talking about? I didn't put any tags in your talk page! Now that's not fair!

Amy2563 (talk) 16:08, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the edit history of my talk page. The edits were made by Amy2563. Maproom (talk) 16:40, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Did I? If I did, I am extremely sorry. I might have did it accidentally. I am really and extremely sorry. I don't know some of the features of the Wikipedia, when suddenly one of a template popped up. And I clicked it not knowing its actual work. I am again really, really sorry! My deepest regret - Amy2563 (talk) 16:49, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I accept your apologies, which are really quite unnecessary. As I said, I am not bothered. But it seems that something you have done has made these notices appear on my talk page; and it would be better to avoid whatever it was, in case it puzzles new users. Please accept this Dobos Torte as a token of peace. Maproom (talk) 17:26, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

What is sandbox used for? Can I use it to draft out an article? Ema (talk) 10:08, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is Draft:Sandbox, which anyone can use for experimenting. It's not suitable for a draft, as other editors are very likely to destroy whatever you put there. And there's your own sandbox User_talk:Amy2563/sandbox, which is suitable for a draft. If you like you can make further sandboxes in your own user space, giving them names like User_talk:Amy2563/whatever. Maproom (talk) 11:49, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Ema (talk) 14:02, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Me from India too!![edit]

I am a new editor. Presently creating an article for the first time. I have submitted the draft and is making final improvements as much as I can, according to the resources that I am able to collect. Can you kindly please review the draft once, only if it does not bother you, and give me nescessary feedback about what necessary edits I need to make so that I can further improve it before its final review date arrives. The article creation is very much backlogged and I still have time to make improvements. This is my draft : Draft: Lal Sena. Thanking you Maaley (talk) 16:35, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pamela Cox's Malory Towers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
