October 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Louis Ducruet, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 16:06, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ryton-on-Dunsmore has been reverted.
Your edit here to Ryton-on-Dunsmore was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://lineofduty.fandom.com/wiki/Ryton-on-Dunsmore_Police_Training_Centre) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. February 2023[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Sutton-in-Ashfield, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 15:16, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Editing under switched IP addresses at Mansfield[edit]

A discussion involving yourself has been created at Talk:Mansfield/Archive 1#IP editing and uploading of images continued. Please respond to the new section.

The immediately-preceding section - Talk:Mansfield#IP editing in January 2023 - also applies, as I believe you are the same person using several IP addresses.

Thank you.-- 82.13.47.210 (talk) 12:40, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Changing images to your own[edit]

As you know, I have changed a recently-uploaded image showing a part-only street scene of the Rosemary centre at Mansfield. I believe you are the editor behind this and many other uploads using a logged-in username. I have commented on this latter aspect at Talk:Mansfield/Archive 1#IP editing and uploading of images continued.

I have given reasons for maintaining the existing image involving the scale and proportions of an historic building which are better-visualised from the long-term existing image taken from height. WP:IMAGERELEVANCE applies, together with WP:CRYSTAL. The latter also applies, as this intended demolition, approved in April 2023, is a substantial future project involving roads and pedestrian-access closures.

Your edit summary comment that the two images differ by many years is redundant as the silhouette remains the same despite any ground-level shop-unit closures. The fabric of the building is unaltered until demolition starts, and I believe the long-term image gives a better reader-experience. Thank you.--82.13.47.210 (talk) 12:56, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
