Cristo, etc[edit]

The RfC is over. But you raised an important point to which I cannot respond in the RfC because the discussion has been closed. You wrote that since Cristo's goal is to "get their students to become college-graduated leaders" then Cristo does not "address poverty". You seem to believe that only giving money to the poor "addresses poverty". That would be very surprising news to the many people who offer education to poor folks, sometimes pro bono too. It would also be a great surprise to the poor folks who are their students. Money is not the be-all and end-all, and you're taking this from an economist! :-) Getting poor young persons to become college educated (and, moreover, aiming to make them "leaders") means the institution aims to help poorer folks towards a better life.
