   Hamlet Fire

To this day, more workers than ever became personally aware of the risks going to our jobs can have on our health. .On September 3, 1991 the Hamlet Fire was a terrible disaster. The Hamlet Fire had some similarities to the Triangle Factory Fire in 1911. Both disasters caused a lot of damage and affected many lives. On Labor day in 1991, 25 people were killed in the Hamlet Fire (twelve being black and eight-teen being women.) ,while 55 others were severely injured. Unfortunately due to these unfortunate events forty-nine children lost there parents to sustaining injuring or getting burned alive.
