In more detail, you should see that I've been undoing your changes adding categories to singer pages. Please stop adding these until you read WP:DEFINING carefully (and some of the links from there as well). These categories aren't appropriate to add. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 15:43, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
How is a singer's voice type not a defining characteristic of who they are, as a person notable enough to have their own Wikipedia article? Whatever, I'll stop editing on Wikipedia altogether.15lucea (talk) 15:50, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
From the link I provided: A central concept used in categorizing articles is that of the defining characteristics of a subject of the article. A defining characteristic is one that reliable sources commonly and consistently define[1] the subject as having—such as nationality or notable profession (in the case of people), type of location or region (in the case of places), etc.
Their range may be a defining characteristic for some people, particularly opera and choral singers, for example, but not for pop singers. In some of the cases, what you added wasn't even included in the article, and category additions also need to be verifiable as well as defining.
I have absolutely no wish to see you stop editing, but categorization is kind of complicated, and maybe not the best place to start. I'll drop a welcome note here in a moment with some handy links. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 15:54, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
