POV Issues

Basing the entire operations section of our page on Plan Dalet solely on the work of one researcher who is known to be in favor of a very particular point of view on the plan, without including other point of views, is tendentious and a violation of NPOV. Please read WP:NPOV and WP:ACTIVIST and internalize them. After reading what you said about yourself on your user profile, I get the sense that you are here to "right great wrongs". Remember: we are not here to push our own agendas, or the agendas of "oppressed people", but rather to offer reliable data that is free from editorial prejudice and includes all relevant viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources (in this case, not just the revisionist, pro-Palestinian side's portrayal of the plan). Thank you. Tombah (talk) 16:56, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Usul ad-Din

Do you still intend to work on Draft:Usul ad-din? If not, I'd like to recreate the original redirect. – Scyrme (talk) 15:09, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm sure you're busy but all I'm asking for is a yes or no so I know whether to proceed. If I proceed your draft would be unaffected in case you change your mind; it would just require a technical move to replace the redirect rather than a normal one since the destination wouldn't be vacant. – Scyrme (talk) 17:09, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
Scyrme, thanks for your attentiveness and sorry for the delay. As I see it, the issue with the redirect is that the term Usul ad-Din is quite general as a concept, meaning something very loosely like "theology" in a general Islamic context, so redirecting specifically to Twelver theology is quite problematic. Perhaps it would be like redirecting Europe to Spain. If the draft can't stand as an article, perhaps the text could go at the top of a disambiguation page with ILL links to articles such as this book, this college within al-Azhar, etc. in addition to the Twelver theology article. إيان (talk) 08:09, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
That's fair enough. At the time it seemed like the best target since it mentioned and explained the term, albiet only briefly. I'm aware that it wasn't ideal, but it seemed enough for an {{r to related topic}}. I wasn't involved in moving your article to draft space; to be honest, I'm not really sure why some stubs get converted into drafts while others are simply marked as "stubs" and otherwise left alone, particularly as some articles successfully pass through articles for creation as stubs.
Regardless, I'm unsure if interlanguage links are enough to satisfy the requirement for there to be at least 2 entries. Since your draft included references, perhaps it would be safer to simply merge the content into an existing article and then target that with the redirect? Perhaps Aqidah or Fiqh?
In-fact, it may be particularly helpful at Aqidah, since that article only mentions the term in relation to the Twelvers which could be misleading to readers without prior knowledge who might assume it's just a Twelver concept. (Admittedly my redirect had the same issue.) I don't think those few sentences about the usul ad-din would be out of place there as a brief bit of explanation for the term already used elsewhere in the article. What do you think? – Scyrme (talk) 21:34, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
Would you object to merging the draft into Aqidah? – Scyrme (talk) 19:17, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
Nevermind, seems the draft was deleted. – Scyrme (talk) 15:22, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
