The Cliffs Of Dooneen, are sea cliffs on the Atlantic coast of County Kerry near Kerry Head, Republic of Ireland. Although less famous than the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, the Cliffs Of Dooneen are well known through the eponymous song. The song makes reference being able to see the towns of Kilrush and Kilkee across the estuary in County Clare but poetic licence was taken in this regard. At best, one may hope to see the skyglow of these towns. The cliffs' location on the Irish grid is Q 88273 47674.
