SWestrup is also known as Stirling Westrup. He's a professional programmer who's worked in video games, communications, supercomputers, educational software, and a host of other areas.

He's also a proficient technical writer and often talks at Montreal-local Science-Fiction conventions on subjects of advanced technology, xenobiology, and the like.
