Introduction

Hello, my name is Steph and I am currently taking the CIS 2050 course at the University of Guelph!

My current favourite painting (which seems to change every week or so) Pontormo, Descent From the Cross, 1526 - 1528

Personal Life

I was born in Kitchener, Ontario, which is home to the largest Oktoberfest gathering in Canada. I moved to Guelph about two years ago and while I do go home to visit often, I am staying here in Guelph for the majority of summer to gain more credits towards my graduation.

Education and Academic Career

I went to Eastwood Collegiate Institute where I was a strong participant in many extracurricular activities, serving as the captain of the debate team and president of student council. I am currently a second year Art History major at the University of Guelph and am also an active member of the UG Debate Society. I am hoping to continue my studies in Art History, earning my Masters if not beyond that.

Minor Hobbies

Sometimes I think I play too many video games, but then I get distracted by the bright sunshine peeking through my basement window, so I have to get up and close the blinds to reduce the screen glare.

I've played ice hockey and golf for several years, although it's been difficult to be active with school taking up most of my time.

I also enjoy baking and am currently able to make bagels, bread and other basic grain products that are somewhat edible.
