Born in New York, USA; 1947. BA in Political Science, Yeshiva University, NY, 1969; MA in Political Science (Democracy & Civic Education Studies), Hebrew University, Jerusalem, 2008. Married to Batya; father of five and now grandfather to many. Immigrated to Israel, 1970. Resides in Shiloh, a community village in the Binyamin Region, north of Jerusalem. Served in the IDF’s Chemical Warfare Unit, 1974-1995, with rank of sergeant as well as the mobile intervention unit of the Benjamin Regional Defense.

I am an expert on the history and development of Israel's resettlement enterprise, and have briefed government and diplomatic persons. I have been invited by major American Jewish organizations to address their top leadership. I was a member of the independent delegation of Jewish residents of Judea, Samaria & Gaza present at the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference. I have been active, in a volunteer position, as a spokesperson for the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, a former Editor of COUNTERPOINT (1983-88) and contributed a bi-weekly column of media criticism to the Jerusalem Post for over 10 years until 2020. I blog extensively and am active on additional social media platiforms.
