From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My Current Projects has a user page which is a cheap knock off of an article page from the on-line encyclopedia, Wikipedia. When not making bad jokes, I endeavor in projects here on Wikipedia which revolve more around themes and ideas than anything very well organized. I'm tryin', a'ight?!

NOC[edit]

Nerds of Color is a website, and part of the Hard NOC Media family. Nerds of Color also produces a podcast of the same name, and was established in 201X by .

SHSM[edit]

  • Begin the history from page 109 concerning the Bay Collection.

Dixie and CBI[edit]

I wrote my thesis on the Dixie Mission, and as a result, I'm doing my best to update to Wikipedia information on the mission, as well as those who were connected to it. You can check out the contributions page to see what exactly I've done in that sense. Many more members remain nothing but pitiful red-linked names, and others are nothing but blue linked stubs. Argh. Until I get my books back from my post-graduate move, I'm handicapped. I plan to go in and do my best to make these at least good articles. I won't bother with the red linked, except the very critical, but below is a list of what I plan to do:

Red Wiki-Critical[edit]

Blue Stubs[edit]

Just need material expansion to graduate to next level!

Blue Expansion and Notation[edit]

Requires expansion of material or notation of sources or both.

Presidential Homes[edit]

I created this category,Category:United States Presidential homes, thinking that I'd just need to skip through Wikipedia from page to page adding it to the appropriate articles. Then I learned that there were a surprising number of presidential homes which simply did not exist. So now I'm going through and making articles for the poor presidents who have until now lacked them. I got up to and through President Jimmy Carter. So Ronald Reagan and the rest still need to be categorized, and if articles not present, created. Yay! Here are two lists which are useful jump points, plus a very useful National Park Service link:

Update[edit]

By my understanding, I can consider this project completed. Go me.

Southwest Virginia[edit]

A historic region of Virginia which has amazingly gone without much notice here on Wikipedia. I established an article, Southwest Virginia, but there's still a long...way to go. See the discussion page for what can be done to help improve this article!

WikiProject Virginia[edit]

Amazingly no project for Virginia has been established. The heck! So I've created a temporary page at WikiProject Virginia, and listed it at Wikipedia:WikiProject/List of proposed projects, swing by, add your name, and lets get this project rollin'.

Update[edit]

WPVa was established and is sort of limping along from time to time, for lack of any leadership. Ah well. :)

United States Capitol[edit]

As a tour guide, I was shocked to see what Wikipedia did not cover, or when it did, not in enough detail. So I resigned myself to adding articles and photographs. As of this date, July 16th, I have added the following articles:

History of the University of Arkansas[edit]

Quite jealous of the more expansive and cited histories of other schools, I opted to take it on myself to create a version for Arkansas. The draft is underway and perhaps once the semester is over, I'll go back and finish it.
