Gray Courtland Hogan is known for having been a Radio Personality on WSIC 1400 AM, and for hosting a weekly show about technology and games called Bulletproof Radio. He is also a former Community Manager for Funcom.

Retirement[edit]

After a grueling 2016, Hogan's injuries from the Navy caused him to be told by his employer to apply for VA and Social Security Disability. He is still fighting to receive his SSD, despite the VA having approved him for disability. That said, he spends his retirement enjoying cigars and good bourbon when he can.

Community Manager[edit]

Hogan became a Community Manager through work at the East Coast Gamers Conference, impressing the lone member of the Funcom CM team. He was CM (under the name Tomium) for Age_of_Conan, Pets vs. Monsters, The_Park_(video_game), Lego_Minifigures_Online and Anarchy_Online. After a year of working there, he was approached to work with a Military and Veteran focused charity, Operation Supply Drop.

Radio Work[edit]

Hogan started working on a podcast for Bulletproof Pixel in 2009. He and his friends, Jeremiah Spoon Donny Lowe, and Ed Salsberg, aired their pre-recorded podcast for over a year before getting a chance break with WSIC. WSIC allowed the group to air their show on Monday nights for an hour. Court's performance on that lone show was enough for station owner Mark Sanger to offer Court a full time position in the morning, as their host, Bob Barber, was departing. Court went on air September 20, 2010 at 6 AM and has been hosting since. Typical segments included a Trivia Question, This date in History, The Scrambled Word, and airing live Birthday Announcements. Soon after he was fired.

Social Security Disability Advocate[edit]

Hogan grew up helping his mother with her Social Security Disability advocacy practice. Following her stroke in 2008, Court assisted the family business and eventually took and passed a test administered by the Social Security Administration to allow for fee withholding. In 2010, and following his mother's recovery, Court relocated to Statesville, NC and opened his own office. Court is currently the Secretary for the National Association of Disability Representatives, and is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal.

Military Service[edit]

Hogan served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman at both Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Naval Medical Center from 1995-1998. While stationed there, Hogan was part of the first wave of what is now known as TRIcare. Serving as a Corpsman at Walter Reed, he became the first Corpsman in history to serve on the cardiac arrest team known as "Redbird." In addition to his service there, he also served on the hospital ship, the USNS Comfort (T-AH-20), in the casualty receiving area. He was the only Corpsman on the ship to be ACLS certified.

Bulletproof Pixel[edit]

Known as "Option Disabled," Hogan provides content, and hosts the weekly radio show "Bulletproof Radio." In addition to hosting, Hogan also serves as the shows engineer and production assistant.
