The 50th Canadian Battalion (18 RS) was part of the 4th Division (Canada) in World War I, 1914-1918 The Battalion was commanded by Colonel E.G Mason. The Battalion recruiting headquarters was in Calgary. It was formed to add men to being formed Canadian fourth division.

The 50th Canadian Battalion was a battalion of volunteers from Calgary and area.They were added into the forming 4th Division, because the Brigade of Canadian Mounted Rifles took over the last few spots in the Third Division.

Aircraft Operated[1][edit]

RF-101C-55-MC (56-0220), assigned to 18th TRS, 460th TRW. This aircraft was shot down by a SAM over North Vietnam on 7 March 1966, killing the pilot.
