The Institute for Gravitational Research is a research group within the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Glasgow whose research is focused on investigating General Relativity. The Institute was formed in 2000 with funding from the Scottish Parliament, the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council, and PPARC.

The group is involved in several major collaborations, including GEO 600, the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, and LISA.
