Contributions to Science[edit]

Jim Chute is a scientist and one of the founders of CT&T Laboratories, a non-profit independent research group. Jim works in the physics department (headed by Landon Renzullo). He primarily researches topics relating to electromagnetism and wireless communications technology.

Notable Experiments[edit]

On December 7th, 2012, Jim Chute and Derek Newman (another scientist at CT&T) successfully transmitted power wirelessly over a distance of five inches using resonant inductive coupling. This experiment was later improved and a transmission distance of 13 inches was achieved shortly after.
