JEFFHEMM I was born in 1958, and have worked in science and industry consistently. Most of the edits I have made added a common name or synonym for a chemical that I had to work to find the structure of. Companies use old little known names for chemicals. This is usually to hide the identity of ingredients used in a simple formulation. I added these to make it easier for the next researcher to find the information. I have done two edits that I am not sure of. I removed a line from a page which seemed to endanger the employment of the person about whom the page was written. I edited another about a massacre just after WW 2 where someone added statements negatively about the Americans who were there to rescue Europeans, and get the hell out. I removed it. I don't want to make those kinds of edits without guidance. Recently I was reading about bituminous coal and coke. The writer said that coke was hydrocarbons. I changed it to carbon. I'm sure that is what he meant.

I hope to keep improving in my small way. Maybe I will write something. I do know a bit about stable isotopes.
