Svulla (*Early 2007 – present) is a unique creature that was created through a symbiotic union of two very diverse figures. They were famous in their old habitat Karlsruhe for their drinking habits and celebrations (“Partys”).
History[edit]
Ulla, the first one part of Svulla, was a wild creature, roaming through the Karlsruhe nightlife. with fiery red hair and her famous appetite for vodka and coffee, she claimed a lair above the Karlsruhe Uni Mensa. Sven the second figure, was the Keeper of peace and virtue of the Karlsruhe University. He was one of the most knowledgeable creatures in the whole realm and he protected the University even when he had to travel far to do so. He kept watch from his kingdom from the Throne in the newly erected 24h University Library. When Sven heard through his scouts that there is this reckless creature, that wants to destroy the University and its values, he took it as a challenge to confront the beast and tame it, or at least slay it trying. What happened then nobody could have anticipated: The struggle between fire and ice, dark and light formed over months into a new evolution of both and thus Svulla was born. Although still very much two distinct and seperate creatures, both together form an unbreakable union and fused into a new, better, stronger, more evolved, harder drinking being. Svulla packs the wildness, drinking power and cocktail-mixing skills of Ulla and the wisdom, calm and pole-dance moves of Sven. Together they became both: Protector of the innocent (Ersties) and Destroyer of the Streber. The whole kingdom of Karlsruhe trembled in their name, some part (mostly the nocturnal part) because of joy, some part because of sheer fear of another Ullalah.
Habitat[edit]
Svulla is a nocturnal creature, therefore it needs plenty of easy accessible food sources that are available deep into the night. Apart from food it needs space for gatherings with other friendly creatures and a quiet, but good ventilated sleeping ground. The main settling place of their cave (Wohnzimmer) usually has very comfortable furniture, called the Couch. This is the main living space Svulla and their social companions use for their gatherings called “abchillen”.
Food[edit]
Although Svulla is very self-sufficient it needs constant food sources in the region. The so called “Dönerbuden” and “Pizza Läden” are vital for their survival. Apart from these easy access food sources, Svulla likes to live from organic food, which it prepares regularly itself. Their specialty is Karottenbutter, homemade Pizza and Bread, as well as Pasta Pesto and Chili con carne. Their main food source is the “Rewe Man” who lives of money and “Pfand” Svulla produces and converts this into groceries and drinks. It is a symbiotic relationship.
Drinks[edit]
Drinks (with Alcohol) may be important for other species, but for Svulla it is the main source for energy. Their favourite drinks consist of Vodka, a lot of Vodka… Svulla consumes [[Vodka Sour], with Apple, with Lemon or just pure. Svulla is very picky and it is rumored that it imports the good stuff from Poland. The second favorite drink is Whiskey and it is told that Svulla even has their own whiskey sources somewhere in Scotland. As humans need air, Svulla needs Drinks. Often Svulla is seen with Aperol, Gin or Tequila, but mainly all alcohol sources are important. The only exception of this rule is beer which Svulla never consumes.
Social Life[edit]
The main social circle of Svulla consists of a species called “Party Animals”. They come in all form, race, ages and usually wear similar camouflage (Verkleidung) like Svulla. It is said that even species from as far as Indonesia or even France come, to gather with Svulla regularly. Although some of them are very unsocial (technical term is “brown”) most of the social circle of Svulla shares the same way of life and rhythm as Svulla itself.
Celebrations[edit]
As celebration of their union, the whole Capital of Karlsruhe (“die WG”) regularly held several festivals. Most famously (and infamously at the same time) were the celebrations called “Motto Partys”. These gatherings were focused on two things: Destroying the alcohol reserves of the capital and practicing the camouflage skill (verkleiden). All the “Party Animals” came to do both: Drink as much as they could, and dress up to the given theme. Even after leaving the Karlsruhe area, they continued to celebrate in Köln.
Social interactions with other animals (aka. the “real” animals)[edit]
Svulla love to interact with cats, especially “Amy” which is a very rare and princess-like creature (it is said that there is only one in the world). Although some people think, cat’s are Svullas food source ("Amy Taco") they actually are in a symbiotic relationship with Amy, which she only accepts with very few creatures.
Part of Svulla also likes bigger cats like Tigers, so they try to plaster their habitat with images of tigers, although part of Svulla is hesitant about this behavior.
Sometimes Svulla is also seen with Rabbits, although it is usually not in their own habitat.
Natural enemies[edit]
Svulla only has two natural enemies: Dogs and “stupid, boring assholes”. Dogs often go into an aggressive stance, when encountering Svulla, even when they are still puppies they do not really like to interact with Svulla. Researchers are still looking into this phenomenon, but it is assumed that there is just a natural distrust between these creatures. The second natural enemy brings Svulla into an aggressive stance and even such a peaceful and peace loving creature like Svulla can attack furiously if it encounters an “asshole”. Although conflicts are usually solved peacefully, it is believed that there are a lot of “assholes” “sleeping by the fishes”, after encountering Svulla. Nobody could ever proof this claim, but it is a open secret that in their habitat near the city Karlsruhe the cave (“Keller”) is filled with former enemies, the so called “Leichen im Keller”.
