My name is Eren

Transgender man (FTM, he/him) who is currently studying psychology, (Canadian) criminology and forensics. My major in in CRIM.

I speak French & English and want to learn Moroccan Arabic to talk to family members.

I will mostly be editing small mistakes or contribute to forums about Trans men, Canadian criminology and (preferably cognitive related) psychology. I might also add to pages about arthropods, forensic science, cannibalism (laws, history, media or cases) and SFX makeup, especially gore related makeup.

Anything i contribute for PSYC and CRIM will be from actual textbooks and include their sources, Canlii for law cases and a variety of peer reviewed journal articles that include their sources for psychology related things.

My knowledge for PSYC might also be from personal experiences with diagnosed mental disorders or cognitive problems such as severe long term depression, autism, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, severe insomnia and the long term effects of sleep deprivation while growing up on your body and mind. Medical advices, psychological advice and knowledge gained in psyc classes will also be provided if they add to OR clash with my personal beliefs in other to not be bias.

For trans related things, I am a trans man, I’ve been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and been out for 7 years, gone through hormone blockers, legal name and sex changes, “top” surgery, voice therapy and take weekly testosterone shots.

My knowledge comes from personal experience, second hand experience (trans friends or trans individuals met at trans-specific conferences), medical professionals I've met throughout the years, getting surgery + watching surgeries or psychology classes. I’ve spent many years getting to know other trans people, trans men and women as well as people under the trans umbrella who aren’t men or women.

If you have a question, I will answer with my and other’s knowledge if it’s opinion based and I know my answer does not represent all trans people. Keep in mind I mostly know things (hormones, surgeries, binders, etc) related to trans men specifically.

If you’re confused about yourself, curious about others or trying to help someone you know who’s trans, I can help but know that I only know Canada’s laws. The age for certain things like hormones, surgeries or name changes are not the same everywhere and some countries do not let you change your sex legally (in my case, changing F to M on legal papers like passports, card identity, medical files and anything else that would include your old sex.

If you want to know the difference between certain chest surgeries (mastectomy, key hole, the different nipple options, etc), their medical requirements and the outcome, just ask. I personally had double mastectomy and nipple skin graph. I still have the papers with info on what to do before and after surgery about this type of surgery if you want them. I also had a second (small) surgery to make one of my nipples more even and can help explain ways to avoid needing it, if you already had surgery and want something fixed, I can also help with that.

All that said, I am both autistic and English is my second language so I may get confused if you don’t ask your questions in a literal way. If you don’t know how else to word it, that’s fine too, I just want to put that out there because I’ve confused certain phrases and their meaning before.
